2. Visiting Faculty Program:
In this program interested Kemcolians or any other faculty of any
institution in the USA and Canada will be able to do teaching rotations
and workshops at KEMU on a
formalized basis.
3. Facilitating Electives rotations:
We are in the process of setting up an office at KEMU for selection,
screening and co-coordinating the rotations
4. Document Verification Process:
KEMCAANA has put in place a document verification process for recently
graduated Kemcolians working in the USA and Canada.
This arrangement has already been very well received and we have had
several positive comments about it.
5. Scholarship Program:
Monthly scholarships for 28 students at King Edward at Rs. 1500/ month.
This year, we are planning to increase it to 32 students at Rs. 3000/
month
6. Young Physician's Symposium:
Providing Career Counseling for Young graduates
7. Lectures, Seminars and Workshops
at Winter Meeting at KEMU.
8. Post-Graduate Education Program:
Financial assistance for Air Fare and/or Boarding and Lodging to
deserving recent MBBS graduates before they start Residency in the
United States or Canada
9. Facilitating Visa Process of KE
graduates intending to come to United States.
10. Computer Lab for students and
Faculty of KEMU:
53 terminals; two full-time employees. Running cost $1500/month.
11. Internet Facility to Girl's
hostel and several Depts. at Mayo Hospital:
Provision of wireless and broadband internet service across the King
Edward campus and medical and surgical wards in the hospital. Provision
of computers and internet facility at 32 sites including the girls hostel and boys
hostel.
12. KEMCAANA Retreat:
It is the only meeting devoted solely to KEMCAANA and its members. It
is a great time to network, have class reunions and enjoy the time with
other Kemcolians.
At the retreat we can devote much more time to the affairs of KEMCAANA.
It is an opportunity to evaluate and reassess our goals and objectives
and to see what is going right or wrong.
The Retreat is also an excellent way to foster interest and
participation of Kemcolians in the host city and state.
13. Anatomy Learning Center:
A donation of Class of 1980 to the students of KEMU with a focus on
enhancing their educational experience

Improvement of the quality of medical Education at KE.
This year, one of our initiatives is to help in the improvement of the
quality of medical Education at KE. In this regard, we have invited Dr.
Muhammad Awais, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of KEMU to our upcoming Retreat
in Chicago. He will be discussing the proposed Curriculum Changes at
KEMU and will participate in a Panel discussion
