Dear KEMCAANA Family,
It's my honor to serve this year for our alumni.
A special thanks to our immediate past president, Dr Tariq Jamil, for his leadership and support.
Over the years, KEMCAANA has evolved and has been involved with projects which have helped many both in USA and Pakistan. Our scholarship program has flourished and we are supporting seventy students at KEMU. The recent addition of Hamdani Scholarship for post graduate students has been a big help and we just selected our second recipient for this award.
The Computer lab at KEMU is another project that has been very beneficial to the students. We are planning to upgrade the lab and the computers in this coming year and hope that you will continue to support this project.
Our KEMCAANA Village of Farooqabad just got completed in December and one hundred homes, a small school, dispensary and vocational rehab center were built. Please do look at the link on our website and see what we as a group were able to achieve.
Our KEMCAANA Doctors House in Philadelphia is a home where medical students come and stay to prepare for their exams and for residency interviews. This home is unique where we have students from all medical colleges of Pakistan. I am also grateful to our many young doctors who are volunteering and doing an excellent job managing this home. This is where our future is and I will request all Kemcolians to get involved.
Our upcoming retreat will be held in Dallas from April 20-22 and Dr Khalid Mahmood will be the chair. Summer meeting is scheduled for July 4-8 in Washington DC and Professor Asad Aslam, Vice Chancellor KEMU, will be our invited guest. Our winter meeting this year will be held at KE along with Appna from December 21-23.
I look forward to meet you in the coming months in our various KEMCAANA events.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions,
