I wanted to update you on KEMCAANA initiatives for this year. Our committees have been very active. This year, we are very fortunate to have a strong team of dedicated members. Please click on the links below to get further information on each project:
This year, we have made a concerted effort to involve
more Young Physicians in our executive council
and our committees. They are making invaluable
contributions and we appreciate their efforts
Due to
the excellent efforts of Dr. Aisha Zafar and the Membership committee, our membership has already increased to
almost 400 members. Insha-Allah, our goal is to be close
to 600 members by the end of the year. If you are not
already a member, please sign up at www.kemcaana.net/online-membership.php. Your
membership increases our strength and supports our
programs.
KEMCAANA Retreat is coming up soon. It is being
held at Rosemont Convention, Chicago on May 23-25.
The Retreat Host Committee and Dr. Arif Agha have worked
very hard to make it an excellent program. If you have
not already done so, please register and make your hotel
reservation as soon as possible at http://www.kemcaana.net/chicagoretreat.php. We
promise you a great time.
The KEMCAANA Journal is planned to be
published and mailed in the first week of June.
We are very fortunate that Dr. Muhammad Haseeb and Dr.
Furrukh Malik are working on this project. We also plan
to publish a Newsletter in the fall.
The news from Pakistan is that the extension on
Professor Mumtaz Hasan’s tenure has been cancelled. He
has resigned and Professor Zafar Ullah Khan is the new
Vice Chancellor. We are looking forward to a continued
strong and collaborative working relationship with the
new leadership at KEMU. I have no doubt that in future
our bonds will strengthen further and we will continue
our initiatives in the most effective manner.
Thank you for your support and participation. We hope
